A Fusion of Fashion, Flavor and Fine Art with KAKAW x AYLA Dimitri Collaboration

KAKAW, the renowned fine chocolate and patisserie brand from Artisan Kuliner Group, is delighted to unveil its newest collaboration— with well-known fashion icon, Ayla Dimitri. The KAKAW x Ayla Dimitri partnership is a captivating fusion of high fashion and gourmet indulgence, promising an unforgettable experience that is as visually stunning as it is delicious.

KAKAW has always been more than just a chocolate shop; it is driven by a passion for elevating chocolate to new heights through unique approaches and alluring flavors. For its first-ever collaboration, KAKAW is inviting Ayla Dimitri, who shares the same passion for both art and chocolate. Ayla Dimitri, known for her love of creativity and her distinctive style, emerged as the perfect collaborator. Fun fact, Ayla has organically been our loyal customer from the start! So we were beyond happy when she excitedly welcomed this collaboration idea. 

The theme of this collection is inspired by the Bauhaus movement, a groundbreaking German art movement back in the 20th century that was known for merging diverse artistic mediums into a unified approach. The designs are abstract, angular, and geometric, reflecting Ayla Dimitri’s bold and vibrant personality. "To us, Ayla Dimitri embodies the Bauhaus spirit with her bright, quirky style," said a spokesperson from KAKAW.

The collaboration aims to offer customers a personal and intimate experience. We married what KAKAW does best, which is chocolate, with Ayla’s personal style and favorites. "What are her favorite chocolates and treats? What kind of experience does she want consumers to have? How can we bring life into this anticipated collection? These were the questions that guided our creation," explains a KAKAW’s spokesperson. “When we began, we had many concepts to choose from, but we wanted this collection to represent both KAKAW and Ayla Dimitri," she continued. Through weeks of brainstorming, we believe that the Bauhaus-inspired theme is perfectly aligned with our vision - and thus, this artistic collaborative work was born. 

Bold, colorful colors played big roles in this collection. We use Bauhaus primary colors of blue, red, yellow, as well as incorporating KAKAW’s signature orange color to make it even more vibrant. We also incorporated clean lines and geometric shapes in our design. We want the items to be pop and loud enough, so that the products can speak by themselves. With modern, sophisticated designs and limited edition packaging for the KAKAW x Ayla Dimitri, we created the product line not simply as a treat, but as a piece of art one wants to have.

Several standout items featured in this collection embody a nostalgic flavor experience encapsulated in a personalized chocolate tube, and also we introduced Knafeh (Kunafa) — a traditional arabic dessert, that is a rare ingredient in Jakarta — infused into KAKAW’s signature chocolate turrones. There is also a hidden gem menu that would blow your mind away and will be available at a later date.

• Assorted Chocolate Box of 12 (IDR 275K) : Indulge in an elevated version of KAKAW’s signature box of 12 chocolates, featuring 12 classic flavors, decorated with Bauhaus patterns, perfect for gifting or savoring a sweet moment of luxury.

• Assorted Kunafa Turron Box of 8 (IDR 300k) : Experience a taste of something new with an Assorted Box of Turrón, featuring a selection of new flavors: Almond Kunafa, Hazelnut Kunafa, Peanut Kunafa and Pistachio Kunafa. A perfect blend of crunchy and chewy delights, ideal for sharing or treating yourself. 

• White Chocolate Bar (IDR 105K) : Savor the creamy sweetness of  White Chocolate Bar, a velvety treat that melts in your mouth with every bite. Also decorated with Bauhaus patterns, it is perfect for those who love a smooth, rich flavor.

• Hazelnut Chocolate Coffee Spread (IDR 350K): Chocolate spread series that come in  unique tube packaging that looks like it just came out from a beauty shop. With a luscious blend of rich chocolate, roasted hazelnuts, and a hint of coffee. Perfect for spreading, dipping, or eating straight away. The set contains 5 tubes,making it a delightful and perfect for gifting

• Chocolate Powder (IDR 195K): Indulge in two new, rich, and velvety flavors of KAKAW’s Chocolate Powder: Dark Choco Mint and Indian Spice. A wonderful twist on a comforting hot cocoa, with added spices that will be suitable for any occasion.

• Mixed Nuts and Fruit Chocolate Candy (IDR 105K) : Featuring Ayla’s favorite nuts and dried fruits, the box consists of Dark Hazelnut, Peanut, Almond, Blueberry, and Gold Raisins. An ideal snack on the go.

• Pistachio Raspberry Whole Cake (IDR 700K) : A limited-edition cake for those who are celebrating! Featuring Ayla’s favorite flavor, the creamy, nutty pistachio, mixed with the tangy flavor of raspberry to balance the sweetness.  With squared and colored Bauhaus themed, this cake would be a stunning centerpiece for any special occasion. It consists of Pistachio Sponge, Raspberry Compote, Pistachio Namelaka, and Pistachio Bavarois.

• Pistachio Raspberry Individual Cake (IDR 65K) : Delight can also be found in one sitting. A mini version of our limited-edition whole cake, a perfect balance of sweet, nutty and a little tangy. Crafted into a moist, flavorful treat with a touch of elegance in every bite. 

• Soft Serve Pistachio Kunafa (IDR 60K): Indulge in a soft serve ice cream with again, Ayla’s personal favorite flavor, Pistachio. This creamy treat consists of our house-made Pistachio Paste and an addition of Kunafa in the mix, giving this simple soft-serve ice cream a subtle surprise.

• Soft Serve Pistachio Smoothie (IDR 75K): A cooling dessert drink to quench your thirst and satisfy your longing for sweetness on a hot summer day. Ice blend with a serving of Pistachio flavored ice cream on top. It consists of Kunafa, Pistachio smoothie and housemade Pistachio Soft Serve Ice Cream. 

• Burnt Basque Cheesecake (IDR 85K) : A soon-to-be-released indulgence, this Burnt Basque Cheesecake features creamy cheese goodness inside and out, creating a smooth texture and a deeply flavorful experience. Developed through a shared journey between KAKAW and Ayla Dimitri, whose passion inspired this creation, this menu item brings together both passion and flavor.
